Recently, people have asked me, “do you ever get sick of weddings?” The answer is no, I don’t. And I’m not just saying that. Weddings are my favorite to photograph because I get to interact with so many different people throughout the day. I also get introduced to awesome couples, like Steph and Bretton, by being a wedding vendor. Last fall, Steph reached to out to inquire about wedding photography, and after our initial call, I knew she and Bretton were “my kind of people.” I say that phrase quite a bit to my friends, and I’m sure they’re sick of hearing it. But it’s true. It’s hard to specifically identify who my ideal client is with words, but when I meet them, I just know. Steph and Bretton met via a swipe right, and anyone (including me!) who’s been single in recent years can appreciate their happily-ever-after success in the difficult online dating world. They are all about the outdoors and spend quite a bit of their time skiing and sailing. In fact, when I met them in Stowe to snap some engagement photos this past winter, Steph had recently injured her knee while skiing. She was a trooper and hobbled around during our shoot with the cows at Trapp Family Lodge. Ultimately, she was forced to wear a knee brace under her wedding gown, but that didn’t stop her from dancing the night away. Steph and Bretton’s easy going nature and desire for a good dance party made photographing their wedding an absolute joy. Their crew of people was equally as awesome! Here’s a quick highlight reel:
