Some people shy away from wanting their engagement photos taken during the winter, but this gorgeous winter session at Trapp Family Lodge in Stowe, Vermont provides a pretty strong argument for a winter session. Katie and Rob knew they wanted to incorporate an activity into their session because they self-proclaimed that they’re awkward in front of the camera and wanted an activity to help them feel more comfortable. Let’s clear the air: we’re all awkward in front of the camera, myself included! Regardless, I absolutely loved the idea of incorporating some adventure into their session. We tossed around ideas and considered downhill skiing, skating, and cross country skiing but ultimately settled on a snowshoeing excursion out to a cabin on the Trapp property.
After the last year, it felt somewhat normal to be out in the woods enjoying each other’s company. While I definitely felt out of shape at times, these shots were worth the 17,000 steps we took back in February!
