In our digital world of constant connection, imagery has never been more essential. I know from personal experience that when you use social media as a huge part of your business, every photo you post of yourself—even your tiny thumbnail picture next to your handle name on Instagram!—tells your clients and your community the story of you. Your personal imagery is your first impression, and you have to make it count.

…kidding. It was just too easy to play off of my favorite TLC show back in the day. I would never post examples of “bad” outfits. So, let’s flip it and call this post “What to Wear.” Honestly, “what should we wear?” might be the most frequently asked question of me when clients are preparing […]

My absolute favorite subjects to photograph are my brother’s kids, ages 6, 4, and 3 (yes, three kids under the age of 6 during quarantine…not quite sure how Eddie and Kelly survive each day…). Whenever I’m around them, I have my camera in hand. It’s not because I have to take photos of them. Rather, […]

I’ve been meaning to share Rosie and Lloyd’s wedding for a while now, but I just didn’t have the time to dig in and do it with the justice it deserves. This global pandemic has provided the time to go back through wedding galleries and images from the past year – a silver lining I […]

When I initially retreated to Vermont […]

Emery Luana made her debut into this world just as it was turning upside down. Did she know her parents would need the distraction of baby snuggles to keep their mind off of the current world affairs? Maybe! Her early arrival on March 9th caused her family’s hearts to explode with happiness (after a very quick drive to the hospital!). She’s a champion eater, sleeper, and pooper (I saw evidence of all three during our time together), and clearly has a future as a baby model.

Destination Wedding – Sandals South Coast, White House, Jamaica It feels appropriate to be blogging Andrew and Desirée’s Jamaican wedding as snow falls up in Vermont on this November day. A little over a week ago, these two tied the knot on the beach in front of about seventy family and friends who made the […]

Welp, it’s the morning of my business’s third birthday, and I’m sitting on a hotel balcony in White House, Jamaica getting ready to photograph Andrew and Desirée’s destination wedding. While I had the best of intentions to write this blog post before today (really, I had intended on outsourcing this to my wonderful ghostwriter, Britt), […]

Remember when I said I was going to do a better job blogging in 2019? Yea, me, too. We have about two months left of the decade (holy!), so there’s still time… I needed a break from the 10,000 or so photos in my editing queue after the busy fall season (I wish I was […]
