I met up with Ryan + Rob in Newburyport recently to snap some engagement photos and chat about their 2021 fall wedding at Granite Links. Rob popped the question in Newburyport last November, so it made sense to return to the adorable coastal town just north of the city to celebrate their engagement.

MEET ELLEN
I grew up in Vermont and now call Boston home, but I'll always feel most like myself outdoors.
Whether I'm hiking, skiing, spending a long weekend along the shores of Lake Champlain, or returning to Maine with my family each summer, those are the places where I recharge. Before becoming a full-time photographer, I spent years teaching middle school. Looking back, I think that's where I learned the skill that matters most in this work: helping people feel comfortable enough to simply be themselves.
When I'm not photographing weddings, you'll find me planning my next trip to France, getting lost in a good book, cheering on the Boston Bruins, spending time with my family, or wishing I were finally in the right season of life to bring home a dog.
