On a February evening, Patrick and Scott gathered their closest people for a relaxed winter wedding inside one of Boston’s most iconic spaces.
Patrick and Scott live just around the corner from me in Charlestown, and after a few attempts at actually making their first date happen, their story began over drinks at Carrie Nation and eventually led to a proposal in Napa. They approached their wedding day with that same easygoing spirit, getting ready together and choosing their siblings as their wedding party. We wandered through the library for portraits, stopping in the iconic Bates Reading Room among its rows of green reading lamps, before they exchanged vows in the warm, intimate setting of the Abbey Room. Cocktail hour unfolded in the Chavannes Gallery before guests made their way downstairs to the Guastavino Room for dinner and dancing, the perfect finale to a stunning winter evening at the library.
